I am a special education teacher, so people with exceptional needs hold a special place in my heart. It always make me happy to read of communities coming together to spread awareness about autism and other forms of special needs in people. Acceptance is the key to giving these people as normal a life as possible. They are already struggling with physical or mental limitations. They don't need bullying from other people. People with special needs are not a burden or someone to be ashamed of. They are a gift that makes us better people and humans.

As a normal born child, I am very thankful and blessed. I could do everything that I want, go to a place that I desired etc. But for those children who were born with a special condition like being autistic is not a joke. We must be aware that these kind of condition exists. And during this month we must take actions to spread the awareness regarding autism. Also, we must establish a good relationship regarding this issue. So that autistic people will be able to do what they want amidst of the situation that they were in.

I have a relative who has autism, and she is now 26 years old. They are twins, but it is only her who got autism. We tried to send her to school that focuses with kids who have the same situation as hers. Unfortunately, she is the type who gets violent sometimes. That is why, only after a few months, we have decided to pull her out of the school. Nevertheless, she still the same. She is still my auntie whom I love very much. She is special.
